Hunter Rugby Union Women’s Squad - Anika Butler played in undefeated Hunter team that won the NSW Country Rugby Union Women’s Championship in Tamworth.
NSW Country Rugby Union Women’s Corella Squad: Anika Butler was a member of the successful Corellas squad which won the Australian Rugby Union Shield in Brisbane late September/earlyOctober.

National Women’s Sevens Series - half back Tahlia Goldsmith was a member of the University of Newcastle squad which came third in the series.
Hunter Rugby Union Women’s Squad: Minah Mauli and Maryann Utai selected in the Hunter Women’s representative squad that played in the 2022 NSW Country Rugby Championships at Tamworth.

2025 Season:
Six players from The Waratahs named in a squad of 25 by The Newcastle Herald as its ‘Modern Age Team’.
The six Tahs players representing the 2000-2025 period are Dan McGavern (winger), Carl Manu (five-eighth), Alain Miriallakis (prop), Hayden Pedersen (centre), Ben Petersen (fullback)and Mark Taufua prop/second row).
The Herald said players must have played for at least three years in the local competition with criteria including talent, leadership, longevity, premiership successes, representative careers and individual honours.
2024 Season:
Cyril Burke and John Hipwell (along with Kelly Sager) - inducted into the NSW Rugby Union Hall of Fame as part of NSW Rugby’s 150th anniversary celebrations. Cyril (1946 - 58) 37 caps; John (1968-81) 27 caps.
